Rich,
Portobello Rd, London

I usually shop here around Portobello Road, because I like vintage and, basically, worn clothes. A completely new shirt feels really stiff and uncomfortable. I also tend to buy women’s jeans, because they have a better fit. I think Pete Doherty has a great style and my current favourites are sailors’ t-shirts. I work as a comedian, check out my myspace http://www.myspace.com/dickbiscuit1.

Nanna,
Portobello Rd, London

I’m actually from Denmark and I’m just visiting London. I really like this city’s street style and fashion scene. One of my style icons is Agyness Deyn and she embodies London’s style. My own wardrobe consists of crazy and unusual pieces that people usually wouldn’t wear. One of the examples could be this jumpsuit. I just got it from Topshop and I love it.

Ziyad and Amy,
Portobello Rd, London

Amy: We both live in Liverpool, but London and especially Portobello has some great vintage shops. I have so many jackets. I like them to look unique and I prefer them oversized. I’ve recently started to like Alexa Chung’s style.
Ziyad: I absolutely hate brands, but we both like Vivienne Westwood and her designs. Her creations are very inspiring. My wardrobe contains way too many frilled shirts.

Matthew and Victoria,
Portobello Rd, London

We both like similar shops (American Apparel, UNIQLO that’s why we usually shop together. In London you can be whoever you want to be. No-one really cares what other people wear and no-one will criticize your style.
Matthew: I’m more into urban street style and my new favourite item is a pair of jeans I got from UNIQLO. Victoria: I on the other land really like Shoreditch’s street style and the whole rock vibe there.

Ulrika,
Portobello Rd, London

I think I’m quite interested in fashion and I like to read all these different fashion magazines, but my favourite has to be Vogue. Chloe Sevigny has probably the most inspiring style: she isn’t maybe classically beautiful, but her quirkiness makes her gorgeous. I like buying vintage clothes, but I don’t mind going to high-street shops as well. This dress, I think, is from French Connection, but my favourite dress has to be one vintage navy stewardess’ dress.

Zoe and Matt,
Camden Town, London

Zoe: I’m a Topshop girl and I love most of the things there. This autumn my favourites are Dr.Martens’ boots and I’d love to get a pair.
Matt: I usually don’t buy completely new and expensive clothes, but if I see something I really like, I will buy it. I never plan ahead. We are both studying in London, but are from elsewhere. Here you can wear anything and it is acceptable. It is quite liberating not think what others’ might think.

This Friday I'm moving to the UK to start my course at the University of Cambridge, but I will be back in Estonia during holidays. It will be a really exciting new adventure, but I try to update this blog as well. However, for the next couple of weeks I'm just trying to settle in Cambridge. But I look forward to taking pictures of stylish Brits:)
